Door Removal - Front

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the front door.
2. Separate the door wire harness (2) from the connector.




3. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.




4. Remove the door check link fasteners.




5. Support the door.
6. Remove the intermediate hinge fasteners (1) from both hinges.
7. Remove the door, with the aid of an assistant.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the door to the hinge halves, with the aid of an assistant.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

IMPORTANT: Use Loctite Blue GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent prior to the fastener installation.

2. Install the intermediate door hinge fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the intermediate door hinge fasteners to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the check link to the body.
4. Touch up any paint damage to the intermediate front door hinge fasteners with body color paint.




5. Install the wiring conduit (2) over the door wire harness connector.
6. Connect the door wire harness to the body wire harness.
7. Check the proper door adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment.
