Front Door Latch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Door Window Express Down in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the inner and outer belt moldings.
4. Remove the speaker assembly.
5. Remove the window.
6. Remove the window module.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
8. Disconnect the linkage from the inner door handle at the lock actuator assembly.
9. Disconnect the lock assembly from the rear window channel retaining bracket.
10. Remove the retaining bolts from the actuator door lock assembly.
11. Remove the door lock actuator from the window module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the lock assembly to the rear window channel retaining bracket.
2. Connect the linkage from the inner door handle to the lock assembly.
3. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
4. Install the window module.
5. Install the window.
6. Install the speaker assembly.
7. Install the inner and outer belt moldings.
8. Install the water deflector.
9. Install the trim panel.
