EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector at EGR valve.
3. Remove the Transaxle indicator tube retainer nut on the EGR valve stud, and lower retainer bolt.
4. Lift the Transaxle indicator tube enough to clear the EGR valve stud.
5. Remove the EGR Valve retaining bolts.
6. Remove EGR valve assembly.
7. Remove the gasket.





INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the gasket.
2. Install the linear EGR valve assembly

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Reinstall the retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

4. Connect the electrical connector.
