Front Outside

Removal Procedure

Important: Ensure the window is in the full-up position.

1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the plug (2).
4. Disconnect the latch rod from the outside handle (1).
5. Disconnect the key cylinder rod.
6. Insert the key into the key cylinder. Rotate the key toward the front of the car until the key stops.
7. Remove the 2 fasteners (3).
8. Gently flex the lower rivets to the side in order to allow the ribs to disengage from the outer panel flange.
9. Remove the outside handle (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Insert the key. Rotate the cylinder pawl all the way up until the pawl stops on the handle support.
2. Hold the key cylinder rod in a horizontal position against the back of the handle.
3. Install the outside handle (1).
4. Push in at the lower portion of the handle assembly and snap the ribs in place.
5. Install the 2 fasteners (3).

Tighten
Tighten the 2 fasteners to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

6. Connect the rods to the handle.
7. Install the plug (2).
8. Install the water deflector.
9. Install the trim panel.
