Installation
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the accelerator controls bracket to the throttle body if necessary.
^ Tighten the accelerator controls bracket bolts to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the new gasket, and new inserts and studs it necessary.
3. Install the throttle body assembly.
4. Install the throttle body retaining nuts and bolts.
^ Tighten the throttle body retaining nuts and bolts to 10 N.m (7 lb. ft).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the throttle body support bracket.
^ Tighten the throttle body support bracket bolts to 11 N.m (8 lb. ft).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Install the accelerator control cable to accelerator controls bracket at throttle body. Refer to Accelerator Controls Pedal Replacement.
7. Install the cruise control cable to accelerator controls bracket at throttle body.
IMPORTANT: The throttle should operate freely without binding between full closed and wide open throttle. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Replacement or Accelerator Controls Pedal Replacement.
Accelerator Cable:
8. Install the accelerator control cable to the throttle body lever.
9. Install the cruise control cable to the throttle body lever.
10. Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal. Also check for poor carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.
11. Install the electrical harness retainer clip and harness to the accelerator control cable bracket.
12. Install the vacuum lines to throttle body as noted on removal.
13. Install the intake air duct (1) to the throttle body and air cleaner assembly.
^ Tighten the clamp to 2 N.m (18 lb. ft).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
14. Install the IAT sensor electrical connector to the IAT Sensor.
15. Refill the radiator to replace the lost coolant.
16. Install the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.
