Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Negative battery cable at battery.
2. Air cleaner assembly.
3. Upper radiator hose from thermostat housing.
4. Coolant by-pass pipe from water pump.
5. Position brake master cylinder aside to access heat shield.
6. Exhaust crossover heat shields.
7. Crossover pipe. Clean manifold sealing surfaces.

INSTALLATION
1. Crossover pipe. Tighten to 22 Nm (16 inch lbs.).
2. Exhaust crossover heatshield.
3. Master cylinder. See Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Coolant bypass to coolant pump.
5. Upper radiator hose to thermostat housing.
6. Air cleaner assembly.
7. Negative battery cable.
