Door Module Assembly

DOOR MODULE ASSEMBLY

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Trim panel and water deflector. Refer to "Door Trim Panel" and "Water Deflector".
2. Inner belt strip.
3. Window retaining bolts.
4. Door glass. Refer to procedure in this section.
5. Drill out eight rivets on module belt member using 17/64 inch drill.

IMPORTANT: Remove any pieces of rivet that fall in the door. If left in door, these pieces could cause rattles.

6. Window motor electrical connector.
7. Mark all adjustments for future glass adjustment, B, C, D, and E.
8. Loosen adjustments C and B.
9. Lower rear adjustment bracket E and D.
10. Module assembly by pulling up on module belt member.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Module in door.
a. Align front lower blade bracket into adjustment "B".
b. Ensure that adjustment "B" is oriented against the inner panel as shown in illustration.
2. Loose install bolts, washers, and locknuts in place of all rivets using holes "A", previously noted for drilling as locator holes.

NOTICE:
^ Push down and outboard during assembly to ensure that the belt member is tight to the door sheet metal while securing.

3. Push bottom of module outboard as far as possible. Place adjustment "D" onto module stud and install nut.
4. Lower bracket "E" ensuring bracket has minimum slip fit relative to the guide channel bracket.

ADJUST
5. Adjust bracket "E" to original adjustment position (previously marked) to prepare the system for window adjustment.

6. Window. Refer to procedure in this section.

ADJUST
7. Readjust door to body fit if required.

8. Adjust glass guidance system. Refer to "Door Window Adjustment".
