Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check RH Rear Power Distribution Center MaxiFuse Block #2 HEADLAMPS Circuit Breaker by visual inspection.
2. Check I/P Fuse Block TMNSS Fuse and IGN 1 Fuse by visual inspection.
3. Check Engine Compartment Power Distribution Center MaxiFuse Block FOG LAMPS Fuse by visual inspection.
4. If one headlamp doesn't work, check the bulb, the connections, and the related wiring (see schematic).
5. If headlamps on one side are dim, check the ground on that side. Check suspect headlamp assembly connector for proper terminal contact.
6. Check that grounds G103, G104, and G202 are clean and tight.
7. If the Perimeter Lighting does not light when the keyless entry transmitter is operated, check CKT 624 (BLK/WHT) for an open.
If OK, refer to Keyless Entry. Keyless Entry
8. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load) (refer to Troubleshooting Procedures).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
