Exhaust Component Replacement

The exhaust system is welded and can be serviced by components.
^ Exhaust manifold rear pipe (Y pipe).
^ Catalytic converter.
^ Resonator.
^ Intermediate pipe.
^ Muffler and tailpipe assembly.

There are several things that must be remembered when servicing this system:
1. When components are replaced, cuts must be made in areas shown.
2. When installing a replacement converter to an existing exhaust or intermediate pipe/resonator assembly, the remaining portions of the converter inlet/outlet pipe must be removed.
3. Any time the converter and adjacent pipes are replaced, a sleeve (or spacer) that is supplied with the Dine must be used.

WARNING: If the converter and adjacent pipe are replaced, a sleeve (or spacer) that is supplied with the pipe must be used or a poor fit could result, allowing exhaust Gases to be released under the vehicle. This could cause bodily injury.
