Radiator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
Remove or Disconnect the following components.
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Lower air dam.
4. Drain cooling system.
5. Install lower air dam.
6. Lower vehicle.
7. Upper tie bar.
8. Electrical connectors for cooling fans.
9. Both (left and right) cooling fans.
10. Electrical connector from coolant level sensor.
11. Coolant recovery hose from radiator filler neck.
12. Inlet and outlet radiator hoses from radiator.
13. Bolts from condenser.
14. Transaxle cooler lines from radiator.
15. Radiator.
INSTALLATION
Install or Connect the following components.
1. Radiator in vehicle, locating bottom of radiator in lower mounting pads.
2. Transaxle cooler lines to radiator.
^ Transaxle cooler lines to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
3. Bolts to condenser.
4. Upper and lower radiator hoses.
5. Coolant recovery hose to radiator filler neck.
6. Electrical connector to coolant level sensor.
7. Cooling fans (both left and right).
8. Electrical connectors to cooling fans.
9. Upper tie bar assembly.
^ Bolts to 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.).
10. Refill cooling system.
11. Check and refill transaxle if needed.
12. Start and idle engine to check for leaks.
