Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement

Description:






IMPORTANT
^ After a non-deployment accident, visually inspect the I/P carrier for damage or deformation. Any visible damage would indicate structural damage and therefore mandate I/P carrier replacement.

Remove or Disconnect
^ Disable SIR system.
1. Console (as needed).
2. Cluster trim plate.
3. Upper trim pad.
4. Windshield garnish moldings.
5. Sound insulators.
6. Knee bolster.
7. I/P storage compartment assembly.
^ Place protective cloth on steering column to protect column from scratches.
8. Radio.
9. HVAC control head.
10. Bolts (2).
^ pull I/P carrier away from dash.
11. Electrical connectors (i.e. I/P interconnect).
12. Antenna coax cable.
13. I/P carrier.

Install or Connect
1. I/P carrier (being sure that I/P carrier is centered).
2. Electrical connectors.
3. Antenna coax cable.
4. Bolts (2).
5. HVAC control head.
6. Radio.
7. I/P storage compartment.
8. Knee bolster.
9. Sound insulators.
10. Windshield garnish moldings.
11. Upper trim pad.
12. Cluster trim plate.
13. Console.
14. Enable SW system.
