Troubleshooting Hints
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check TRUNK RELEASE fuse in the RH Rear Power Distribution Center Fuse Block #1.
2. Visually inspect trunk lid release actuator connector or fuel door release solenoid connector and associated wiring.
3. Check that the valet switch is on.
4. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
5. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
6. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with system disconnected. (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.) Diagnostic Aids
