Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. For No Crank or No Start conditions, refer to PASS-Key II Diagnosis. The Universal Theft Deterrent system does not affect engine starting. System Diagnosis
2. Before beginning any operation check, make sure the following components and circuits work properly:
^ Parklamps
^ Low beam headlamps
^ Horn
^ Power door locks
3. Make sure the headlamps and parklamps are off.
4. Open a window in order to unlock the door without using a key.
5. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
