PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check key pellet sensing contacts in ignition key lock cylinder by looking into key opening. If contacts are damaged, or not silver in colour, replace ignition key lock cylinder.
2. Check all ignition keys by using J 35628-A PASS-Key II Interrogator or equivalent. If key code window shows "E," or display is erratic, replace owner's key.

4. Check fuses by visual inspection.
5. "SECURITY" Indicator operation is described under "Circuit Operation".
6. If PASS-Key II system is intermittent, check that PASS-Key II module connector is tight and terminals are clean.
7. If starter enable relay must be replaced, also check CKT 6 (PPL) wiring to the starter solenoid for a possible short. A short may have caused relay to fail.
