Circuit Operation - Steering Wheel Control Switches

SIR COIL ASSEMBLY
The SIR coil assembly contains four wires used by the steering wheel controls. This allows voltage to he applied by the steering wheel switches to the radio while the steering wheel is being turned.

STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROL SWITCHES
The radio control switch controls volume and station frequency. The radio control switch receives power through circuit 43. When the switch is pressed to the desired function, a network of series resistors allows a different voltage output through circuit 1796 to the radio for each switch pressed.
