Indicator Operation

The amber TRAC OFF indicator will be illuminated when Enhanced Traction System (ETS) is inhibited or when the driver switches ETS off with the ETS switch. As a bulb check procedure, the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) will command the ETS indicator on for three seconds when the EBTCM receives power (ignition in RUN position).

The amber LOW TRAC indicator will be illuminated to alert the driver of a low traction situation and to inform the driver the ETS is operating. As a bulb check procedure, the EBTCM will command the amber LOW TRAC indicator on for three seconds when the EBTCM receives power (ignition in RUN or START positions).
