Dimming

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) displays are dimmable. Only the indicators, turn signals, high beam annuniciators are non-dimmable. The IPC incandescent backlighting (graphics and pointers) is directly controlled by the Lighting Control Module (LCM) through the Dimmer Signal. The IPC monitors the Dimming Signal and the Dim Enable Signal inputs to determine if VF dimming should be active, and if active, at what level. See description for "Dimming Inoperative/Improper".
