Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module

The Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module is the master Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) module. The RFA monitors Class 2 messages from the other modules and the Keyless Entry Transmitter to determine alarm modes. The RFA directly monitors the IGN1/ACC1 signals from the Ignition Switch. In the ALARM mode the RFA controls the exterior lights and horn. The RFA also controls the SECURITY telltale lamp for both the PASS-Key (R) III system, when the ignition is active, and CTD with the key absent from the ignition switch. The RFA module supplies a ground on CKT 264 (DK GRN) to activate the SECURITY Telltale. There are no diagnostic trouble codes associated with the RFA module.
