CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The PASS-Key (R) III Module internal processor has two key-related Learn modes, Auto Learn and Quick Learn and Seed and Key Learn. Any time the module is in one of the Learn modes this Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be set.

If this DTC is active, reprogram a new key using the First-Time programming procedure.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
This diagnostic code is active any time the module is in a state to learn a new key.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The SECURITY telltale will illuminate until the new key is Learned.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
This DTC will be automatically cleared when the module Learns (memorizes) the new key transponder code.

TEST DESCRIPTION
The PASS-Key (R) III Module contains software programs that Learn key codes. The entire diagnostic function is done within the PASS-Key (R) III Module. Diagnostic codes are reported over the Class 2 Data Link upon request from a Scan Tool.
