B0802
DTC B0802 - Shift Interlock Solenoid (BTSI) Shorted To Ground:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition is ON and the transaxle is in PARK the Body Control Module (SBM) drives the Brake Transmission And Shift Interlock (BTSI) Output high, enabling the BTSI solenoid. When the brake is pressed the stoplamp/BTSI switch opens the BTSI circuit, disabling the shift interlock solenoid. The SBM monitors this output and determines the actual voltage every 300 ms.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) sets when the SBM is unable to drive the BTSI circuit high. The SBM tries to drive high the BTSI circuit for 100 ms before setting the DTC B0802.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
The SBM determines the BTSI output can be driven high for one monitoring cycle.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Refer to Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock to diagnose CKT 275 (LT GRN) shorted to ground. Shift Interlock
