Condition
Some owners may comment that the fuel gauge remains on "FULL" too long. The vehicle may be driven approximately 100 miles before movement begins.
Cause
Update Fuel sender information calculation may be too slow.
Correction
Flash with updated Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration.
Important:
Do not attempt to order the calibrations from GMSPO. The calibrations are programmed into the vehicle's PCM via a Techline Tool Device.
Using the table, determine the calibration P/N needed for your vehicle application. Enter the Service Programming System (SPS) on the Techline terminal. The most up to date calibration P/N should be in the system. Continue with the programming process by selecting PROGRAM.
