Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect
1. Caps covering back up lamp retaining studs.
2. Screws at outer ends of back up lamp assembly.
3. Screws from the license plate pocket.
4. Screws retaining license plate lamps.
5. Nuts retaining back up lamp assembly.

Install or Connect
1. Nuts to retain back up lamp assembly.

Tighten
^ Nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb. in.).

2. Screws to retain license plate lamps.
3. Screws to license plate pocket.

Tighten
^ Screws to 3.5 Nm (31 lb. in.).

4. Screws to outer ends of back up lamp assembly.

Tighten
^ Screws to 5 Nm (44 lb. in.).

5. Caps to back up lamp retaining studs.

Important
Do not rework or alter the reflective surface of taillamps.
