Left Sound Insulator

Description:

NOTE: Install fasteners in same locations as removed, vehicles vary in location and quantity of fasteners used, make note of positions that fasteners are in before removal.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Sound insulator screw(s) from I/P and wing nuts from stud(s) on cowl.
2. Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC).
3. Courtesy lamp.
4. Fuse panel.
5. Trim signal flasher.
6. Sound insulator.

Install or Connect
1. Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) to sound insulator.
2. Turn signal flasher.
3. Fuse panel.
4. Courtesy lamp.
^ Position sound insulator up under dash. Inserting cowl stud(s) through holes in the front of insulator.
5. Sound insulator screws to I/P and wing nut(s) to stud(s).

Important
^ Inspect sound insulator for proper clearance to accelerator and brake pedals, failure to provide proper clearance may result in binding of accelerator or brake pedals.

Tighten
^ Fasteners to 1.9 Nm (17 lb. in.).
