Case Side Cover and Gaskets

CASE SIDE COVER AND GASKETS






TOOL REQUIRED:
^ J 28467-A Engine Support Fixture

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Park/neutral position switch.
3. Install engine support fixture, J 28467-A.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Left tire and wheel assembly.
6. Left side splash shield.
7. Left side ABS wheel speed sensor connector and harness from suspension support.
8. Left side ball joint.
9. Left side stabilizer bar link pin.
10. Left side suspension support.
11. Left side drive axle from transaxle.
12. Transaxle mount to body bolts. Refer to "Transaxle Mount".
13. Transaxle mount to transaxle bolts. Refer to "Transaxle Mount".
14. Transaxle oil cooler lines at transaxle.
15. Side cover bolts.
16. Case side cover.

CLEAN
^ Case and side cover gasket surfaces.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New gaskets on case.
2. Side cover and new bolts.

TIGHTEN
^ Side cover bolts to 9 to 13 Nm (80 to 115 inch lbs.).

3. Transaxle oil cooler lines to transaxle.
4. Transaxle mount to transaxle bolts.
5. Transaxle mount to body bolts.
6. Drive axle to transaxle.
7. Left side suspension support.
8. Left side stabilizer bar to control arm.
9. Left side ball joint.
10. Connect left side ABS wheel speed sensor.
11. Left side splash shield.
12. Left front tire and wheel assembly.
13. Lower vehicle.
14. Remove engine support fixture, J 28467-360.
15. Park/Neutral position switch.
16. Negative battery cable.
