Cooling System: Service and Repair

1. After filling cooling system, place heater and A/C control to any A/C mode except MAX. Set temperature to its highest setting.
2. Allow engine to continue idling until lower radiator hose to coolant pump is hot.
3. Cycle engine speed up to about 3000 rpm and back to idle five times.
4. Slowly open bleed valve on rear of thermostat housing for approximately 15 seconds to expel any air in the cooling system.
5. After air has been expelled, fill cooling system.
