Horizontal aim is done by an adjusting screw on the outer side of the headlamp assembly. Vertical aim is done by an adjusting screw in the top center of the lens.
1. Calibrate mechanical aimers (conforming to SAE J 602):
A. Set master fixture to "O" U/D and "O" R/L.
B. Calibrate aimers on master fixture to read "O" U/D and "O" R/L.
2. Prepare the vehicle:
^ Tires should be properly inflated.
^ All four tires should be on a perfectly level surface.
^ There should not be any snow, ice or mud attached to vehicle.
^ There should not be any cargo or loading of vehicle other than the vehicle should have a full tank of gas and should contain one person or 75 kg (165 pounds) on driver's seat.
^ Attach aimers to headlamps.
3. Check or set aim within these limits (or as necessary to comply with any state or local laws).
^ Horizontal aim - 102 mm (4 inches) left to 102 mm (4 inches) right.
^ Vertical aim - 102 mm (4 inches) up to 102 mm (4 inches) down.
