Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. For No Crank or No Start conditions, refer to PASS-Key(R) II diagnosis. The Universal Theft Deterrent system does not affect engine starting. Testing and Inspection
2. Before beginning any operation check, make sure the following components and circuits work properly:
- Parking lamps
- Low beam headlamps
- Horn
- Power door locks
3. Make sure the headlamps and parking lamps are off.
4. Open a window in order to unlock the door without using a key.
5. When an intermittent problem exists, check connectors for proper terminal contact.
