Throttle Body Assembly Removal and Replacement

Throttle Body Removal:

Throttle Body Assembly:

Remove or Disconnect:
1. Remove negative battery cable
2. Partially drain cooling system to allow hoses at throttle body to be removed.
3. Remove air intake duct
4. Disconnect electrical connectors from TP and IAC valve
5. Disconnect vacuum lines
6. Disconnect coolant hoses from throttle body
7. Disconnect accelerator cable shield
8. Disconnect accelerator control cables
9. Remove throttle body attaching bolts
10. Remove throttle body assembly and flange gasket, discard gasket

Install or Connect:
1. Install throttle body assembly with new flange gasket
2. Tighten throttle body attaching bolts
Torque Value: 15 N-m (11 lb.ft.)
3. Install accelerator control cables and shield
4. Connect coolant hoses to throttle body
5. Connect vacuum lines
6. Connect electrical connectors to TP and IAC valve
7. Install air intake assembly
8. Fill radiator
9. Connect negative battery cable
10. Ensure accelerator pedal is free
11. Reset IAC valve position. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
