9K-7 Rear Compart Lid Release W/Ign In Run/Trans Out of Park

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

When the RCDLR senses no voltage on CKT 639 and CKT 275, the rear compartment lid release function can be activated using the transmitter. When the RCDLR senses voltage on CKT 639 and CKT 275, (ignition switch in "RUN" and transmission in "PARK") the rear compartment lid release function can also be activated using the transmitter. When the RCDLR senses voltage on CKT 639 (ignition switch in "RUN") and no voltage on CKT 275 (transmission not in "PARK") the rear compartment lid release function cannot be activated by the transmitter.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. Check for an ignition input signal to the RCDLR.

2. Check for a false signal from the transmission position switch or short to voltage on CKT 275.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS If voltage is absent at terminal "B" of keyless entry "C2" connector (with IGN "ON") and transmission is out of "PARK," rear compartment lid release will be available using the remote keyless transmitter.
