Component Tests and General Diagnostics

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. If none of the seat functions operate, check the POWER ACC Circuit Breaker. If open, check CKT 340 for a short to ground. If OK, check CKT 340 for an open between Fuse Block and S326.
2. If the Rear Height or Front Height adjustment does not function but the entire seat moves up and down, check for a poor connection. If OK, replace the suspect Power Seat Switch.
3. If the entire seat does not move up and down but the rear and front height functions operate properly, check for a poor connection. If OK, replace the suspect Power Seat Switch.
4. Check that ground G311 is clean and tight.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
