Temperature Indicator

PCM Controlled "TEMP" Lamp Circuit:

Quad-Driver Module (QDSM) Circuit:

Purpose
The "TEMP" lamp is used to inform the driver of engine overheat conditions.

Operation
The "TEMP" lamp is connected to battery voltage through the ignition switch. The PCM energizes the bulb by supplying a path to ground through Quad-Driver Module 1 (QDSM).

With ignition "ON" and engine "OFF", the PCM should ground CKT 35, illuminating the lamp.

With engine running the PCM should illuminate the lamp only when coolant temperature exceeds 123°C (253°F).

Location
The "TEMP" lamp is located in the instrument panel cluster.
