Test I: Coolant Temp Indic. Doesn't Work When Engine Overheats
Disconnect the Coolant Temperature Switch (V6 VIN T) or Electronic Control Module (ECM) (V6 VIN L), and jumper DK GRN (35) wire to ground. Move Ignition Switch to RUN and observe the Coolant TEMP Indicator.^ If the Indicator now lights, check for a poor connection. If OK, replace the Coolant Temperature Switch (V6 VIN T) or refer to CEC section for Electronic Control Module (ECM) diagnosis.
^ If the Indicator does not light, check DK GRN (35) wire to S232 for an open (see schematic).
