Powertrain Control Module (PCM):

The presence of this code indicates a memory error. Make sure "MEM-CAL" is properly installed and latched into socket, and that there are no bent or broken pins. If OK, replace "MEM-CAL", clear the memory and re-check for codes. If Code 51 re-appears, replace powertrain control module (PCM.)
