B: Fuel Gage Always Reads E
Open connector C305. Move Ignition Switch to RUN and observe the Fuel Gage.^ If the Fuel Gage now reads F, replace the Fuel Gage Sender.
^ If the Fuel Gage still shows E, check PPL (30) wires for a short to ground (see schematic). Check BLK (151) at Instrument Cluster Connector terminal D11 for an open (see schematic). If wires are good, replace the Instrument Cluster (see Service and Repair).
