E: Fuel Gage Accuracy Test

Disconnect connector C305 and connect one red lead of tester J-33431 to terminal B (PPL) and the other to terminal E (B LK) of the harness half of connector C305. Set the resistance dials of the tester to) 13 ohms. Turn the Ignition Switch to RUN and observe the Fuel Gage. Set the tester to 90 ohms and cycle Ignition from OFF to RUN. The Fuel Gage should read E and then F.

^ If the gage responds correctly, replace the Fuel Gage Sender arid its wires.

^ If the gage does not respond correctly, check the PPL (30) and BLK (151) wires for high resistance. If wires are OK ,replace the Instrument Cluster (see Service and Repair).
