Rear Internal Gear

Rear internal gear is pressed onto output shaft and is not removed. Service unit as an assembly.

1. Inspect rear internal gear splines, teeth and bearing surface for wear, cracks, or damage.

2. Inspect parking pawl lugs for cracks, or damage.

3. Inspect rear internal gear to rear sun gear thrust washer for piting, scoring and damage.

4. Install rear internal gear and output shaft assembly.

5. Install thrust bearing with inside diameter or race against gear.
