Intake Air Plenum: Service and Repair

Intake Plenum And Fuel Rail:

REMOVE
^ Disconnect negative battery terminal.
^ Vacuum lines, noting positions of hoses.
^ Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) to plenum nuts.

THROTTLE BODY
^ Two Attaching Bolts,
^ throttle body and gasket.
^ Discard gasket.

^ Throttle cable bracket bolts.
^ Ignition wire plastic shield bolts.
^ Plenum bolts.
^ Plenum and gaskets. Discard gaskets.

CAUTION: Use care in cleaning old gasket material from machined aluminum surfaces. Sharp tools may damage sealing surfaces.

INSTALLATION
^ New plenum gaskets.
^ Plenum and plenum bolts and torque to 21 Nm (16 lb ft).
^ Ignition wire plastic shield bolts.

THROTTLE BODY
^ Throttle Body Gasket
^ Two Mounting bolts
^ Torque to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

^ EGR to plenum nuts.
^ Throttle cable bracket bolts.
^ Connect vacuum lines.
^ Connect negative battery terminal.
