Oil Pan: Service and Repair

OIL PAN






TOOLS REQUIRED:
^ J 28467 Engine Support Fixture

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery cables.
2. Serpentine belt.
3. Raise vehicle.
4. Drain engine oil.
5. Front engine mount nuts.
6. Exhaust pipe - at manifold and front of converter.
7. A/C compressor bolts and pivot aside.
8. Starter and flywheel cover.
9. Starter.
10. Splash shield.
11. Power steering pump and bracket.
12. Lower car.
13. Support engine using J 28467.
14. Engine strut.
15. Raise car.
16. Engine front support bracket.
17. Retaining bolts.
18. Oil pan.

CLEAN
^ Sealing surfaces on oil pan, front cover and cylinder block

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. RTV.
2. Oil pan and retaining bolts.

TIGHTEN
^ Bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb. ft.).

3. Engine front support bracket.
4. Lower car.
5. Lower engine into mount.
6. Remove J 28467.
7. Engine strut.
8. Raise car.
9. Nuts - front engine mount to cradle.
10. Power steering pump and bracket.
11. Splash shield.
12. Starter.
13. Starter and flywheel cover.
14. A/C compressor.
15. Exhaust pipe.
16. Lower car.
17. Engine oil.
18. Serpentine belt.
19. Battery cables.
