51 32 ... Adjusting Vertical Dimension Of Front Left Or Right Side Window







Special tools required:
- 51 0 342
- 51 0 340
- 51 0 400







IMPORTANT: Do not slam the door during adjustment and measurement (risk of breaking glass).







Measure the cavity gap:
Remove outer window cavity cover strip
Raise the door window.
Close front door.
Measure dimension (A) between inside of flange edge (1) and door window glass (2) with special tool 51 0 342 (from set 51 0 340).
A = 12 mm measured in area of B-pillar







Adjusting vertical dimension:
Remove front door trim panel.
Loosen nut (1) with special tool 51 0 400.
Tightening torque 51 33 6AZ.
Insert ratchet extension in the special tool 51 0 400.
The shaft dimension is adjusted by rotating the ratchet extension and countering using a nut (1).
Check window cavity gap, repeat operations if necessary.
