12 14 522 Replacing Pulse Generator On Left Inlet Camshaft (N74)

(cylinder bank 7 to 12)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Turn off ignition
- Remove left throttle valve assembly
- Loose left charge air cooler, do not remove or disconnect coolant lines







Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 13 62 2AZ.
Remove pulse generator (3).

Installation:
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.







NOTE:
Assemble engine.
Delete fault memory.
