12 14 512 Replacing Pulse Generator On Left Exhaust Camshaft (N63)

(cylinder bank 5 to 8)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove left intake filter housing







Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 13 62 3AZ.
Remove pulse generator (3).

Installation note:
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.







NOTE:
Assemble engine.
Delete fault memory.
