Replacing B62241 Intake Camshaft Position Sensor Bank II, Sensor I (A) / Pulse Generator

Replacing Pulse Generator On Left ( Driver-side ) Inlet Camshaft (N62 / N62TU)

(cylinder bank 5 to 8)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove acoustic cover.
Remove left ignition coil cover.







Unlock and detach plug connection (1).







Release screw.
Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation:
Replace sealing ring and coat with anti-friction rubber coating.

NOTE:
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
