SUBJECT
Retrofit of Sunroof One-Touch Closing Feature

MODEL
E65/66 (7 Series) produced prior to March 2002

SITUATION
Vehicles produced prior to March 2002 do not have the "one-touch close" from the vent position in the sunroof drive.

CORRECTION

On a customer complaint basis, the sunroof drive may be replaced to enable the "one-touch close" feature.





PARTS INFORMATION

Note:
If the original sunroof drive unit on an E65/66 produced prior to March 2002 should require replacement, only the later style units are in stock, and therefore the glass panel must also be replaced, as described in the EPC.

PROCEDURE

Follow Repair Instructions RA 67 61 005 to replace the sunroof drive and RA 54 12 115 to replace the glass cover.
