Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

Note: Removing driver's seat, refer to the following procedures as required
Standard seat.
Comfort seat.
Sports seat.

Removing front inner rocker panel cover strip.
After replacing the rotating-speed sensor, calibration must be carried out with DIS (Diagnosis and Information System) under the "Service functions" menu item.
The rotation-rate sensor from 09/98 contains the function of the transversal acceleration sensor.





Lift floor trim panel (1) and fold sidewards.
Lift sound insulation (2) upwards.

Installation:
Do not damage sound insulation (2). Ensure correct seating during installation.





Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Release screws (2), remove rotation rate sensor (3).

Installation:
Ensure proper locking of plug connector.
