Removing and Installing




Removing And Installing Fuel Tank

Suck the fuel out of the fuel tank.



Caution!

After the installation of the fuel tank / Prior to the first engine start-up:
Check the electrical resistance between the ground lug (tank filling pipe) and the wheel hub.

Measured value: approx. 0.6 ohms







Disconnect the fuel pipe with special tool 13 3 010 and open the hose clamp.
Remove the connectors of the sensor for the fuel level gauge on the right.

Remove the connection from the sensor for the fuel level gauge on the left.
This procedure is described in Removing the sensor for the fuel level gauge (left).
Remove the propeller shaft completely.







Disconnect cable.
Unscrew and remove dipstick tube.







Remove left and right stone chip guards.







Remove hydraulic lines.
(1) Feedline
(2) Return line

Installation:
Replace fuel lines and hose clips.







Remove filler hose.







Unscrew and remove front straps.







Installation:
Note rubber mount with spacer bush.
Wide collar on spacer bush faces towards screw head.







Note washer in suspension strap.







Heavily support the fuel tank.







Unfasten left and right screw.







Installation:
Note rubber mount with spacer bush.
Wide collar on spacer bush faces towards screw head.







Slightly lower the fuel tank and tilt it forward until the lines can reach the upper side of the fuel tank.
Loosen the lines at the upper side of the fuel tank on the left.







Layout of lines:
(1) To carbon canister
(2) To expansion tank







Loosen the ventilation line at the upper side of the fuel tank on the right.







Lower the fuel tank and remove downwards.







Installation:
Note the rubber supports at the back of the fuel tank.

Note locating wedges with rubber cover on floor assembly.
