Replacing Complete Rear Bumper

Removing and Installing Complete Rear Bumper







Unscrew bolts.
Unclip panel from inside and pull it off towards rear.







Only M3:
Lift out expansion rivets.
Unclip panel from inside and pull it off towards rear.







Installation note:
Clips must not be damaged.







Unscrew screw (1) and remove expansion rivets (2) on left and right sides.
Lift off both wheel housing liners from bumper.







Only M3:
Unscrew screw.







Unscrew mounting bolts and remove bumper.


Installation note:
Replace bolts (micro-encapsulated) or install old bolts with Loctite 270 (refer to BMW Parts).

Tightening torque,
