Lower Timing Case Cover

Drain off coolant and dispose of correctly.

Installation:
Top up coolant.
Bleed cooling system and check for leaks, refer to Cooling System
Remove upper section of timing case.
Remove upper section of oil pan, refer to Engine Lubrication.





Unfasten hose clip. Remove hose.





Unscrew and remove bracket (1) and place hose to one side.
Remove vibration damper, refer to Cylinder Block Assembly.





Unfasten lower timing case cover.

Installation:
Secure chain and rails.
Clean sealing faces on crankcase.
Make sure that sleeves are correctly seated.
Replace gaskets.





Installation:
Coat contact faces of timing case cover gaskets with Hylomar SQ 32 M, or equivalent.
Replace radial seal in lower timing case cover, refer to Cylinder Block Assembly.
