Lower Timing Case

Remove lower section of timing case cover.





Unfasten screws and remove water pump.

Installation:
Clean sealing faces and fit new gaskets.





Unfasten snap ring and remove tensioning rail (1).
Remove timing chain.





Installation:
Note installation location of chain on retaining bracket.





Remove retaining pins (1) from tensioning rail.
If necessary, remove retaining bracket for guide rail (2).
Unscrew bolts. Remove timing case.

Installation:
Replace gasket. Coat contact edges with liquid sealing compound Hylomar SQ 32 M, or equivalent
