Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

51 24 100 Removing And Installing/replacing Trunk Lid Lock (Upper Section Of Trunk Lid Lock)

Remove trunk lid trim.







Lift out Omega clip (1).
Disconnect connector (2).







Lift out actuating rod (1).
Unfasten screws and remove upper section of trunk lid lock.

Installation:
Perform function check with trunk lid open.
Adjust upper section of trunk lid lock (work is described under "adjusting trunk lid to fit").







Only replace:
Lift out actuating rod (1).
Cut through cable connector (2) and remove micro-switch (3).
