Trunk / Liftgate Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

51 24 050 Removing And Installing/Replacing Lock (Locking Cylinder) For Trunk Lid Set

Remove trunk lid trim.







Lift out Omega clip (1).
Remove plug connections (2) and (3).







Lift out actuating rod (1).
Unfasten nut and remove lock.

Installation:
Check actuating rod (1) is in correct position.

Lock must be fitted centrally in body aperture.

Installation:
Perform function check with trunk lid open.







Only replace:
Cable and shrink-fit hose colors on micro-switch (MS) designated any deviations.
MS1 red/grey
MS2 brown/blue, shrink-fit hose black
MS3 brown/blue, shrink-fit hose yellow
Lift out clips, remove micro-switches (1) and (2).







Lift out bracket and remove micro-switch (3).
